The more things changed, the more they stayed the same. Lindsey returned to the sleepy little town after college to find the town had grown. But the kids she went to school with hadn’t. They still held to the social status they had in school.

Janice had been a bully, and she still was. It hadn’t bothered Lindsey then, and it didn’t bother her now. She wasn’t going to knuckle under to Janice’s threat that she leave town, or she would reveal a ‘secret’ that could ruin her fledgling career as an author.
