The Soundtrack of Their Lives

What happens to a young couple when the first flush of love fades?  Alice and Amos Bell marry in 1925, when flappers and jazz prospers. But struggles arrive with the depression and then during the  World War II  Amos Bell must deal with stormy relationships with his children, his wife and her sisters, ardent suffragists who live by their own rules, while their world overflows with shows, music, and swing dancing.  With Alice’s illness plus Amos’ infidelity, the drama explodes, with the German bombs dropping on Yorkshire being the least of their troubles.
