Reviews can make or break an author’s career and she took mine. Cheryl Daniels has power over my writing career and now more than ever I need her to help me so my world doesn’t come crashing down on me again. I need an editor and Cheryl is the only one that can get my manuscript up to snuff so that it doesn’t tank like my first book did after her scathing review. Except she needs me to fake date her so that family and friends stop harassing her for being single. I don’t know if I’m up for the challenge, though. My feelings for her are complicated to say the least and if I didn’t need her so badly I’d pass on the offer. Spending so much time with her, however, is bringing me to my boiling point and I don’t know if there’s a way to stop the inevitable.
