If You're Mine

She’s the daughter of a Senator being threatened by kidnappers.

When I’m hired to protect her, I accept.

I’m not prepared for the brave young woman fighting against her attackers.

She’s too young for me and the daughter of my client. I shouldn’t touch her delectable curves or crave her kisses. I could resist, except the vulnerability in her eyes makes my instinct to protect her almost feral.

But with kidnappers chasing us, her safety is my primary objective. Even when it means protecting her from myself when we’re tucked away together at a remote cabin.

When this is over, I know I’ll have to return her to her regular life, as untouched as I found her. Duty demands no less.

But with the possessive way I feel about her, I’m not sure I can.
