As if that’s not enough to cope with, a body is found behind Maddie's bakery! Naturally, this takes precedence with the police, but why is no one else searching for the animals? 

The Sheriff, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend, is doing what he can to solve the mystery, but he’s too busy and Maddie can’t sit by and wait.

Going against her darling Gran’s wishes, she once again uses her sleuthing talents to piece together the clues—with a little help from her friends.
